I found the truck I wanted on cars.com, but it was located a couple hours away from me in Mankato. I emailed the lister, got some more information and set-up a time to drive the distance and meet. What a great experience! I wish there were more people like Mike Bidwell and the staff at Mankato Motors that treat customers so friendly and respectfully -- and the best part -- low pressure! The next time I'm in the market for another vehicle, I hope I find it at Mankato Motors!

You can tell that Mankato Motors works hard at keeping their customers happy, especially when we worked with Mike Bidwell. He we so helpful in knowing how to answer all of our (many) questions. We hadn't even thought of purchasing a VW, but after telling Mike what we were looking for, he suggested we tried out the Tiguan, and it was exactly what we had been looking for. We had been shopping around for a few weeks, not looking to buy/lease that day, and after working with other dealerships we felt this one was right. We are returning customers and my family has worked with sister stores in other areas before, and we've always been impressed with their dedication to their customers. Mike conducted most of the sale online which was great for us as we live 77 miles away from the dealership. He was quick to respond to my emails and answered all of my questions. Mike had the truck ready for a test drive when we got there and he helped ONLY US during the purchase. This was HUGE for me as my last few car purchases have been VERY frustrating because the salesperson was always helping multiple people at a time so I ended up spending the entire day waiting for people that were supposed to be providing a service to ME! At Mankato Motors I didn't wait for them, they waited for me. :)

Mike Bidwell is the best vehicle sales associate we have ever worked with. He's honest. He does his best to see that your vehicle needs are met with every purchase. We purchased two cars from him in one day. He made sure that what we wanted from each vehicle met our needs. A dependable vehicle for our 16 year old son. This is my 5th vehicle i have bought from Mike Bidwell. Four from Mankato Motors and one from lagers in Mankato. He was always pleasant to deal with. He always treated me fairly. Thats one of the reasons I would ask for him specifically when looking for another vehicle. I will go back to him again in the future.

Mike worked hard to find my daughter the perfect car within her price range. He was patient and kept her informed of what was available that he thought would work for her. He worked with us for 6 months before she found what she wanted. I was disappointed with the trade in value for the two cars we traded in. I felt they offered the lowest price they thought they could and still have the deal go through. The evaluator was, I felt, unkind and not exactly honest.

Recently I went into Mankato Motors after just purchasing a vehicle from them around 4 months earlier. My position within my place of emp company had changed and thus my needs in a vehicle had changed. Mike Bidwell especially, but the whole team at Mankato Motors were excellent at giving me my options, working out the numbers to make them fit my budget and especially NOT making me feel strong-armed into anything. I had a very pleasant experience purchasing a vehicle from Mike Bidwell, dealer at Mankato Motors in Mankato, MN. Knowing I was expecting to delay my purchase of a used vehicle for a few months, Mike simply asked me to list all the options I needed to have on a used car so that he could be on the 'look out' for me. I explained to Mike that he had his hands full as I wanted a $40000 used vehicle with a $20000 budget. Mike not only found a car that fulfilled all my requirements, but he found one better than I had even requested! And it was priced at $4000 less that what I was expecting to pay! Mike was very professional, but approachable - which I consider a very great asset in sales people these days! He wasn't a pressure salesman, but he guided me in the ways that I needed to be guided. I would highly recommend Mike to anyone out there looking to purchase a vehicle. I promise you won't be disappointed!!

The entire process was easy, smooth, organized and overall a pleasant experience with no haggling about price. I was given a fair price on my PT Cruiser. From the moment I met our sales man I felt at ease and welcome. My husband was looking at a car and after test driving and deciding that we loved it we went to fill out paper work. It hardly took any time (i have been in a dealership for 4.5 hours before filling out paperwork) and everything was very clear, nothing hidden. While filling out paperwork I went to check out the show room floor myself. I fell in love with a car there. Our salesman Mike came over and answered all my questions, let me put my business supplies in the car to make sure everything fit and stayed after closing hours while I checked it out. The very next day I came and test drove it. The paperwork was already ready since they had been working on it that day! At the end of the day I had an awesome new car, my husband had an awesome new car, and we had the biggest smiles on our faces! Thank you to everyone who helped us find two perfect cars!

I would recommend Mankato Motors to anyone and have. I am very happy with the service I continue to receive even after my purchase. Mike is great! The night I ended up with 2 vehicles, I started out just looking for a reliable car for my daughter who is going off to college next year. Mankato Motors approached me about the truck I was driving, asked if I would be interested in selling as they had a customer looking for something similar and the rest is history. Mike treats his customers like he would want to be treated when purchasing a vehicle. He is honest, upfront, and accomodating. I have never been treated like I was treated at Mankato Motors when purchasing a vehicle in the past and after the experience I've had there don't need to worry about other dealers. Mike was extremely helpful in finding the vehicle that I wanted. Although I had to wait a little longer than I would have hoped he kept me updated every step of the way. He spent a great deal of time with me helping me navigate the new options on my vehicle and even helped me set up the Onstar when I went to pick my new car up. He has excellent customer service and is extremely adept at handling a high-maintenance, impatient, stubborn woman like myself. I would highly recommend Mankato Motors, and espcially Mike Bidwell for all your new and used car needs!

My husband and I bought a brand new truck from Mike Bidwell in 2008, and when we decided to trade our van in, we heard that Mike had started working at Mankato Motors. We drove through the lot and there he was! :) He recognized us immediately, remembered our names, and gave us his new business card. We stopped by a few weeks later and bought a 2010 Chevy Malibu on the spot. Being car lovers, my husband and I have purchased/browsed a lot of cars, and Mike is BY FAR the best salesman that we have ever had. No pressure, great personality, he's awesome! Mike is also great for networking as he has sold cars in Mankato for a lot of years. He recommended a place that I could go for window tint, and I had a great experience there as well. Mike is relentless-he will get you the vehicle you need at the price point that you are comfortable with. Bottom line:best buying experience, EVER. Twice! :) Oh, and if you refer someone, you get a check for $50! (which I put towards my new remote start. ha!) My husband and I will definitely be back to buy from Mike again. p.s. I second Kyle's review of the oil change service. Right in, right out, cheap, and the waiting area is the best!
